Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 PM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Florida State DOH License Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - ARRT (CT) - BLS - Florida State DOH License Description: Unit information includes 24 beds and a staff of 14. Staff consists of radiologists, radiologic technologists, ultrasound technologists, MRI technologists, and CT technologists. The day shift is managed by a director, radiologist, and 6-7 technologists. The night shift includes a charge RN, on-call team, and 3-4 technologists, varying based on volume. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2, depending on patient stability. Equipment utilized includes GE equipment, MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, and fluoroscopy. The electronic medical records system used is Meditech. Call requirements are 4-6 shifts per month on days off. The typical procedures performed include CT scans, MRI, body scans, and x-rays. These procedures create images of bones, organs, and tissues for accurate assessments. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, medical and anatomical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude. Flexibility to multi-task and work with various physicians, radiologists, and patients is essential. Dress code requires black scrubs, which must be provided by the candidate. The facility is an acute care medical/surgical environment specializing in various services, including cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women's services. It also serves as a teaching facility and is recognized among the best in the nation.
