Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Florida State DOH License Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS Must-Have: Candidates must possess ARRT (CT) certification. Candidates must have a BLS certification. Candidates must hold a Florida State DOH License. Description: Unit information includes 24 beds and a staff of 14. Staff consists of Radiologists, CT Techs, Ultrasound Techs, MRI Techs, and others. Day shift has a director, radiologists, and 6-7 techs. Night shift includes a charge RN and 3-4 techs, varying based on volume. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2, depending on patient stability. All equipment is GE, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, and X-rays. The EMR used is Meditech. There is a call requirement of 4-6 shifts per month on off days. Typical procedures performed include CT scans, MRI, body scans, and X-rays. The goal is to create accurate images of bones, organs, and tissues. Strong communication skills and medical and anatomical knowledge are required. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to multi-task are essential. Candidates should be able to work with a variety of physicians and patients. Scrub color is black, and candidates must provide their own scrubs. The facility is an acute care medical/surgical facility specializing in various services. It also serves as a teaching facility.
