About the position Position/Specialty: CT Tech The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the manager of CT. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs high quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from infant through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician Shift: 3x12s, Fri-Sun 6p-6:30a Is on-call REQ? Yes, on call rotation M-Th among all technologists Will this traveler float between service lines? No Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year First-timers accepted: Yes National Certs REQ: BLS, ARRT (CT), SCRQSA (CT) Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT), as well as Computed Tomography and South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS also required. Minimum Training and Education: Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology or a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation. Pending State License accepted: OK to sub with license pending, but must have in hand at the time of start Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Special Requirements: We perform inpatient, ER and scheduled interventional cases. Locals will be considered at a lower BR Previous perm staff(this includes PRN) must be separated from the MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler. South Carolina RN License: MUSC will prioritize candidates that have SC license in hand. We will still consider candidates with a pending license at the time of submission please provide proof that they have applied for the license or confirm that they can complete the SC walk-through process. Traveler will not be cleared to report to the facility until SC license is issued/active. RTO GUIDELINE FOR AUTO OFFERS: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holidays will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process We can only submit to one MUSC unit/campus at a time.
