Description:
The Multimodality Technologist, under general supervision, performs imaging procedures in multiple disciplines.
This includes X-ray, CT, and other imaging techniques as requested by a physician for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
The technologist maintains production and quality by following established standard protocols.
Understanding of radiation dose reference levels and actions to be taken if they are exceeded is essential.
The role requires effective communication with patients to assess their ability to tolerate exams.
Patients are prepared and positioned using appropriate settings and exposure factors.
Safety and infection control procedures are followed rigorously.
Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean work environment is required.
Collaboration with engineers and physicists is needed to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Documentation such as patient history and imaging records must be obtained and maintained.
The technologist must provide timely and accurate services while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Continued education and training of new team members is part of the responsibilities.
Ready to take call if required is necessary for this position.
Ability to perform all essential duties independently and effectively is expected.
