Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years experience and required cardiac, stroke, and trauma imaging expertise for a Level I trauma hospital setting.

Details

• Adult acute care and outpatient CT setting within a Level I trauma hospital
• Performs CT scans of abdomen, pelvis, chest, spine, and head with and without contrast
• Handles musculoskeletal trauma, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar imaging
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba CT equipment along with PACS
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• May be required to float to other units or campuses based on facility census needs and demonstrated competencies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
• BLS certification required
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Cardiac, stroke, and trauma imaging experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing a range of CT imaging procedures including contrast and non-contrast studies
• Orientation occurs every Monday and includes an annual compliance requirement
• Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced eligibility for those 90-99.9 miles away
• Exceptions to the standard radius rule apply for CT Technologists, who must live at least 50 miles from the relevant flagship hospital to be eligible, with reduced pay for those 50-99.9 miles away
