- Weekly Pay:$2360 to $2560
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures following physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining procedures, verifying patient identity, and obtaining relevant medical history
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
- Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment while maintaining image quality standards
- Evaluate completed images for diagnostic quality before submitting them for interpretation
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety practices, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies
- Perform routine equipment quality control checks and report maintenance concerns as needed
- Provide compassionate care to patients in both routine and emergency situations
Requirements
- Active California Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (R)
- ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or required by facility
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience performing a wide variety of CT procedures in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration, and radiation safety
- Experience using PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently during overnight shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment
