Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: VA license/compact required Certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT Must-Have: Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray. Often single staff coverage for both modalities. Professional, friendly, and good communication skills. Description: The position requires two years of experience in a hospital setting. The candidate must hold a valid VA license or compact. The unit features a 12-bed freestanding ER with a fast track area. The average patient volume is around 80 patients per day, with over 100 during winter surges. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. The equipment includes a GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray. Documentation is performed using Meditech and Sectra. Scheduling requirements vary, with weekends and holidays included in the rotation. Floating is not required. Patient experience is prioritized, as staff cares for patients like family. The facility is certified as Acute Stroke Ready and has a Trauma Level 1 designation. The candidate should possess skills in managing acute stroke cases and moderate pediatric volume. Normal ER procedures will be performed; however, no surgical procedures or biopsies are conducted. The dress code includes grey scrubs. Excellent teamwork and culture are emphasized within the unit. The unit has high patient experience scores, placing it in the 80th percentile. This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy, high-acuity freestanding ER.
