Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 7-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 1+ year of CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the CT Tech unit
• Adult acute care and outpatient patients, including Emergency Department cases
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday-Friday from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• No floating required between units or sister facilities
• Uses Philips and Siemens CT equipment, with PACS for image display
• Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year CT experience required
• BLS, ARRT (CT), and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
• License required if applicable
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis CT (with/without contrast), chest CT (with/without contrast), and head/neck CT (with/without contrast)
• Experience with biopsies, drainage procedures, and musculoskeletal trauma imaging preferred
• Experience with brain perfusion and coronary CTA preferred
• Proficiency in multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) post-processing
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, and neck with and without contrast
• Support special procedures including biopsies, drainage, and musculoskeletal trauma imaging
• First-time travelers may be accepted for this position
• Candidates must be separated from MUSC for at least 1 year if previously employed as perm or PRN staff
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for local candidate consideration
• Scrub color required is black and/or teal
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November)
