CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 09:00-18:30 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT (R) Certifications: Required Description: Unit information includes a 800-bed facility. Staff varies by shift, day, or week. Day shift typically has 5 staff technologists and a supervisor. Evening shift generally has 4-5 technologists and a radiology assistant. Night shift usually has 2-3 technologists and a radiology assistant. Equipment utilized includes GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, and Medrad Injectors. EMR systems in use are Cerner, Rad Net, and Phillips PACS. Most recruited skills include proficiency in all areas of CT imaging, including diagnostic scans and invasive techniques. Experience in ED trauma and stroke imaging is essential. Preferred skills may include experience with GE equipment, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and venipuncture. Typical procedures performed include neuro, musculoskeletal, body imaging, and invasive cardiac imaging. Pediatric imaging is also within the scope of practice. The ideal candidate is a team player who can work independently. Self-motivation is crucial for success in this role. Dress code consists of black scrubs. Weekend shifts may be required, along with potential rotation to different shifts. Possible on-call duties may include 12 hours per month.
