Job Title: CT Scan Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred; 6 months Level 1 trauma required License: Must possess active state license Certifications: BLS, ARRT RT (R) (CT), SC License Must-Have: Clienttion badge required; must be supplied by the agency Siemens experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Description: Agency must supply a radiation badge. This position requires a CT Scan Technologist for night shifts from Friday to Sunday. Daily caseload varies per shift and location. There is an on-call rotation with existing staff. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs and may float to interventional radiology. All travelers are expected to attend staff meetings. First-time travelers are accepted as long as they have prior experience. Candidates are required to have experience in Level 1 trauma settings. The facility has a daily census of approximately 130 patients. Number of CT scanning rooms is three. The position requires knowledge of various procedures including biopsies, drainage, and emergency studies. Daily responsibilities may include performing scans on abdomen, chest, cardiac, and vascular areas. Candidates should be well-versed in using 3D rendering techniques. Additional skills required include preparation and administration of contrast media and radiation safety. The work environment may include isolated precautions and intensive care settings. The facility supports interdepartmental collaboration for optimal patient care.
