Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 - 23:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: VA license or compact Certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT Must-Have: Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray. Often single staff coverage for both modalities. Professional, friendly, and good communication skills. Description: Candidates must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. General responsibilities will include performing CT and X-ray imaging. The facility has a 12-bed freestanding ER and a 7-bed vertical fast track area. The patient ratio for nursing is 4-8 patients. The average patient volume is 80 patients per day, with over 100 patients during winter surges. The equipment includes a GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable x-ray machine. Documentation is completed using Meditech and Sectra. Scheduling varies, with a requirement of 36 hours and rotating weekends and holidays. No on-call shifts are required. Patient experience is a priority, and the staff is committed to providing compassionate care. The facility is certified as an Acute Stroke Ready FSED with Comprehensive Stroke capabilities. Advanced skills in managing a moderate pediatric volume are preferred. Normal ER procedures will be performed, with no surgical procedures or biopsies. Candidates should be aware of high patient experience scores, placing in the 80th percentile. This is a busy, high-acuity freestanding ER. The work environment promotes excellent teamwork and culture. Dress code requires grey scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided.
