Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year in a hospital setting License: Registered with the ARRT in Radiography and CT Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: Registered CT technologist with a minimum of 1 year experience in stroke and trauma. Description: Performs diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level. Transports patients when needed. Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance. Understands the importance of the integrity of the archive. Follows established downtime processes when needed. Performs all post-processing procedures on the workstations. Carries out necessary functions on the QC workstation. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Technical skill in medical scanning. Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy. 3-D knowledge and computer skills (PACS, HIS/RIS, QC, workstations). Proficiency in using power injectors and CPR. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Capable of manipulating equipment and evaluating proper exposure factors. Evaluates images and lifts, moves, and transports patients. Able to stand and walk continuously. Adapts to stressful and emergent situations. Good communication skills are essential.
