Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Tucson, AZ, requiring ARRT certification and the ability to start IVs.

Details

• Works primarily in the Emergency Department CT Scanner, with floating as needed
• Three Philips CT scanners on-site: Philips 128 Ingenuity (primary ER/nights scanner), Philips Brilliance 64, and Philips Big Bore 16
• Performs CT scanning for both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist
• Procedures include CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures
• Studies performed with and without contrast media
• 4x10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 13-week contract in Tucson, AZ

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited AMA radiologic technology program
• ARRT certification required
• Active AZ state radiographer license required (license required if applicable)
• CT license required
• Current BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience required
• Must be proficient in IV placement
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date

Additional Information

• Responsible for knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, contrast media administration, and cross-sectional anatomy
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered for this position
