Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Missouri Radiologic Technologist License Certifications: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), ARRT(CT) registry Must-Have Skills/Experience: Manipulating patient transfer equipment Continual standing and walking Recognizing emergency situations Ability to adapt to a fast-paced workload Effective communication skills Description: Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CT procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for obtaining optimal image quality and exceptional service. Has responsibility for all aspects of CT imaging procedures requiring a sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology. Independently selects and modifies technical factors to produce optimum CT scans while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority. Performs all duties and responsibilities consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and values. This individual must be capable of manipulating patient transfer equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients. Requires continual standing and walking, and recognizing emergency situations. Ability to work on the newest platform CT scanners. Knowledge of CTA and Perfusion is preferred. The role involves working in an Emergency Department setting handling trauma, stroke, and other critical cases. Willingness to communicate and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team is essential.
