Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiologic Technology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ Years License: Missouri Radiologic Technologist License Certifications: ARRT Certification Must-Have Skills/Experience: Manipulating patient transfer equipment Continual standing and walking Recognizing emergency situations Fast-paced workload Effective communication Description: Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CT procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for obtaining optimal image quality and exceptional service. Responsible for all aspects of CT imaging procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology. Independently selects and modifies technical factors to produce optimum CT scans, while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort. Performs all duties and responsibilities consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Capable of manipulating patient transfer equipment and lifting, moving, and transporting patients. Must adapt to a fast-paced daily workload and communicate effectively. Experience with GE Revolution and Siemens CT scanners is preferred. Knowledge of CTA and perfusion is preferred. Working in an emergency department setting that includes trauma, stroke, CTAs, and perfusion cases.
