Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) Specialty: CT/Rad Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days - 4 shifts/week + rotating call on nights/weekends/holidays Hours per Shift: 9 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: License to Submit Required Certifications: BLS Certification Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: X-ray and CT experience Description: Department includes CT and general X-ray. Scanners in the department include 1 CT scanner, 1 mobile X-ray, 1 general X-ray, 1 mammography unit, and 1 C-arm. Technologists will cover both CT and general X-ray. The facility provides a wide range of imaging studies for a diverse patient population. Common duties involve performing general X-ray, including pain exams with the C-arm, and conducting CT scans. Studies will be sent to a radiologist for review alongside associated paperwork. The average number of exams is approximately 20 per day during weekdays. McKesson PACS and MediTech are used for EMR and/or PACS. Equipment includes Toshiba CT scanner, Siemens mobile and general X-ray, and GE C-arm. IV starts are required as part of the responsibilities. Orientation includes 4 to 8 shifts or until the technologist feels comfortable to take call independently. Rotating call schedules include nights, weekends, and holidays with a response time of no more than 30 minutes. Scrubs are required, but no specific color is mandated, and scrubs are not provided.
