Description:
The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards established by governing and professional bodies.
Produces emergent and routine diagnostic images with fixed and portable X-ray.
Produces routine and emergent diagnostic images with the CT Room.
Able to adjust exposure settings for proper image acquisition.
Adjusts patient positioning to acquire the best images based on anatomical structures.
Adjusts table and radiation beam to minimize radiation exposure for maximum patient protection (ALARA).
Processes images in PACS for the Radiologist.
Completes exams per Radiologist protocols.
Documents, charges, and processes with electronic medical records.
Schedules patients for appointments in X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor.
Informs and assists patients with contrast media administration for CT exams.
Involved with quality control concerning equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety.
Ensures that exams are completed in a timely and correct manner.
Provides customer service to patients and staff.
