Unit: CT Scan Magic Valley Hospital Flr 2 - General Certification Requirements: BLS - Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements : ARRT Registry - How many scanners/rooms does this department have: 3 CT scanners, usually use 2. - Will they have to float/cover any other areas: Entire hospital, ER and outpatients, no IR procedures. - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: CVA, basic chest abdomen pelvis, traumas, cardiac aiding studies- rarely, pediatrics, special needs patients. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Travelers must 1 CT travel assignment. Personality fit is VERY important. - Average # of scans/studies per day: Each tech to average 10-15 per shift, fluctuates. - EMR &/or PACS they use: EPIC, McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS - Department Specific Equipment: Siemens (backup scanner is Toshiba). Strongly prefer this experience. - Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift: Manager M-Th Damian, and a seasoned tech working most shifts (tech3). - Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants): No - Radiologist in-house: In house during the day, from 10p-630 am they utilize direct radiology and their PACS. - Do they have to start IVs?: Prefer if able to start IVs. - Shifts & Scheduling: Majority are 10 hour shifts: tech overlap in am 6am, 7 or 8 am, 830. 3 CT techs and a CNA on until the afternoon. 730-8 for days. Night shift only alone from 330-600am. - Weekend Requirements: 12 hour shifts, depending on the needs, contract dependent. Less seasoned staff on weekends. - Holiday Requirements: We down staff so typically not needed, RTO to be disclosed during interview. - Call or Standby requirement? N/A - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided: Caribbean Blue - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Yes up to 3 shifts.
