Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT and Siemens equipment experience for an evening shift assignment in a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Community hospital setting with Level II Trauma Center designation
• Adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patient populations
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiac CT studies including CTA, coronary CTA, and calcium scoring
• Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, and drainage
• Uses Siemens CT equipment, iSTAT, Power Ports, and PPACs
• Utilizes Epic EMR
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM, Monday-Friday
• May float to any campus within the health system

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification (ARRT-CT or ARRT-R) and BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety
• Pediatric acute care and outpatient experience preferred
• Coronary CTA and colonography experience preferred
• Management or lead experience preferred
• Must be able to learn quickly and start assignment within 1 week of start date

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing a wide range of CT imaging studies across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Perform IV starts and contrast administration as part of daily duties
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• First-time travelers may be considered but must be able to quickly acclimate to start within 1 week
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission time off requests will be accepted
