Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for CT procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
  • Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
  • Review completed scans for image quality and submit them for radiologist interpretation
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure
  • Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to clinical changes
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks and report equipment issues promptly
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and departmental policies
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Active Indiana Radiologic Technologist License, if required by state regulations
  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
  • ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Experience performing contrast-enhanced CT examinations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, anatomy, and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence
