Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Imaging Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred License: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certifications: Required Must-Have: Advanced certification in the modality of CT. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy is required. Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence to geriatric. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses image management systems to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location. Maintains accurate records and files. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to confidentiality guidelines. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment. Manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Participation in required vaccinations is a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. The department performs approximately 100 exams each day.
