Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: - BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer required. - Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency obtained prior to hire or job transfer required. Certifications: - One or more of the following required: - Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board obtained prior to hire or job transfer. - NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists obtained prior to hire or job transfer. - Nuclear Medicine or Clienttion Therapy specialty also accepted. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists obtained prior to hire or job transfer. Must-Have: BLS Certification Description: Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
