Description:
The position involves working in imaging, specifically with CT and X-ray technology.
The working schedule includes Saturday and Sunday from 0930 to 2200 and Monday from 0830 to 2100.
The role requires the ability to manage independently during the night shift without other support.
Average daily scans are approximately 45.
Patient types include inpatients and emergency department cases.
CT procedures include strokes, traumas, abdominal scans, COVID scans, CTA, angiography, and both contrast and non-contrast imaging.
X-ray procedures involve fluoroscopy, operating room imaging, and various body parts including chest, abdominal, hand, joint, and extremity imaging.
This is a night shift position, and outpatient services are not included.
Adequate personal protective equipment is available, including N95s and PAPR.
The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:1.
Required skills for CT include IV skills, power injection, and experience with GE or Toshiba systems.
Experience in trauma and stroke imaging is essential.
For X-ray, familiarity with general X-ray procedures and experience with Fuji or Cannon systems is required.
Support on the unit includes an imaging supervisor and a director of imaging services.
The charting system includes EPIC and McKesson PACS.
The equipment used includes GE and Toshiba for CT scans and Fuji and Cannon for X-rays.
Travelers will float between X-ray and CT departments based on needs.
The scheduling requires availability to work any day of the week.
Requests for time off must be communicated to the relevant director.
On-call requirements are based on need, with a response time of 30 minutes expected.
One holiday is expected during the contract duration.
Scrub color is unrestricted, with no camo, denim, or hoodies allowed.
