Description:
The Computed Tomography Technologist reports to the manager and director of radiology.
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols.
The patient populations range from newborn through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.
The shift will be from Monday to Thursday, 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
There is an on-call rotation among staff members from Friday to Sunday.
On-call duties are required, and the technologist will be called if someone calls out for their shift or if there are multiple traumas.
Call is expected to be every 4-5 weeks.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
Candidates must have the required national certifications including BLS, ARRT (CT), and SCRQSA (CT).
Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology is required.
Candidates must provide proof of an active license at the time of employment start.
A radiation badge must be provided by the agency, as the organization does not supply them to travelers.
Required skills include starting IVs, administering contrast, performing biopsies, and utilizing the PACS system.
This position involves performing inpatient, outpatient, ER, and scheduled interventional cases.
The position may involve accommodating a block schedule, though approval is required prior to assignment.
Candidates must be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
