Job Title: Computerized Tomography Technologist Profession: Computerized Tomography Technologist Specialty: Computerized Tomography Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Required Radiologic Tech license in the state of practice Certifications: - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment if applicable - Venipuncture certification preferred Must-Have: - Associates degree in Radiologic Technology - Advanced Certification in the modality of CT preferred Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location. Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to confidentiality guidelines and regulations. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: All associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
