Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology and CT License: ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and CT Certifications: BLS certification through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Associate degree in radiologic technology - Completion of CT technology certificate program preferred - 2 years recent experience in Radiology and CT - Ability to float between X-ray and CT departments - Willingness to work three 12-hour shifts plus 50% on call and every other weekend Description: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports or responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
