Job Title: Computed Tomography Tech Profession: Computed Tomography Tech Specialty: Computed Tomography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Shift - Wednesday to Friday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum years of experience required not specified License: Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice required Certifications: - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required - Fluoroscopy license in state of employment required if applicable - Venipuncture certification required if applicable Must-Have: - Associates degree in Radiologic Technology preferred - Advanced Certification in the modality of CT preferred Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location. Maintains accurate records and files. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to confidentiality guidelines and regulations. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
