Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10 (7:30 PM to 6:00 AM), Monday-Thursday - No Weekends Experience: Minimum of two years in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred. License: Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio. Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT. Must-Have: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school. Description: The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations and assists physicians with invasive CT procedures. Prepares examinations for interpretation and maintains radiation safety. Assists with maintaining supplies. Performs and documents diagnostic CT examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider. Conducts appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. Analyzes CT examinations for quality control purposes. Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist. Operates all CT and related equipment. Utilizes all facility-based computer systems. Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of a physician/per protocol. Transports, moves, and positions patients safely and appropriately. Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of CT. Participates in quality assurance and quality control activities related to CT. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Holiday coverage is required.
