Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Saturday-Monday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Client Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or Limited Permit to practice in New York Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Must-Have: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Description: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs technical procedures. This role involves assisting in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced environment. The Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images. Providing patients with a safe and positive experience is essential. Technologists support teaching and continue learning as technology changes. Responsibilities include trauma and emergency room scanning as well as performing CT exams on outpatients and inpatients. This includes those receiving intensive care, research patients, and patients requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. The Technologist practices and enforces radiation safety measures. They are expected to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and abilities pertinent to the role.
