Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday-Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (08:00-20:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Client Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in New York Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Must-Have: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED certification Description: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs technical procedures under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist. The technologist assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced trauma and academic environment. They utilize their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe and positive experience. Technologists support teaching and continuous learning as technology evolves for themselves and others. In addition to trauma and emergency room scanning, they perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients, research patients, and those requiring specialized CT-guided procedures. CT Technologists practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with state health regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Must be a graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
