Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Sunday-Tuesday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Client Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or Limited Permit Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Must-Have: Graduate of an approved two-year AMARadiologic Technology School; High school graduate Description: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced trauma and academic environment. The CT Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe and positive experience. Technologists support teaching and continue learning as technology evolves for themselves and others. In addition to trauma and emergency room scanning, Technologists perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. CT Technologists practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with state health regulations.
