Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technology Specialty: CT Imaging Duration: Part Time Shift: Sunday 12am-4pm, Saturday 8am-12pm Hours per Shift: 4 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT experience License: Client License (L.R.T) Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified), CT certification, BLS certification Must-Have: - ARRT Certification - Calibration - Documentation - Quality Assurance Description: Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functionality before any patient study is performed. Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol. Observes all department documentation policies by filling in appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents, as well as reporting equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while following radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for interpretation. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receives radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies the activity level of the dose prior to administration. This position may also require x-ray work when working overnight. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
