Travel CT Tech - $2,738 per week in Chicago, IL

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Radiology and CT License: Must have ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and CT Certifications: BLS certification through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT - Ability to float between X-ray and CT departments - Willingness to work shifts of four 10-hour days plus 50% on-call with every other weekend Description: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports or responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
