- Venipuncture certification required if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials
Must-Have:
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT preferred
Description:
The Computerized Tomography Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment.
This role produces cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissues to aid in diagnosing medical conditions.
The technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, which include general radiography and fluoroscopy.
In this position, they assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients from adolescence through geriatric.
They produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
The technologist uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate locations.
They maintain accurate records, files, and billing information.
Ensuring the integrity of patient medical images and data is essential while adhering to confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
The role also involves routine maintenance and calibration of equipment, managing supply inventory, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Compliance with required vaccinations is a condition of employment.
