Description
Job Title: Multi-Modality Technologist
Profession: Diagnostic Imaging
Specialty: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist

Shift: Monday through Thursday
Hours per Shift: 10
Experience: Minimum years of experience required
License: WI-DSPS radiographer license
Certifications: ARRT registered in Radiography, ARRT registered in CT, AHA Provider BLS/CPR required
Must-Have:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program - Education verification required.
Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership, completing projects, and performing advanced level clinical duties and regular assignments as requested.
Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities.
Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
Positions patients to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patients as necessary.
Practices aseptic technique as necessary.
Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
Provides patient education.
Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers.
