Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist requiring ARRT (CT) certification and 2+ years of experience across ED, inpatient, and outpatient CT settings.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center serving adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient populations
• Performs CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest studies including CTA, coronary CTA, and PET CT
• Utilizes GE CT equipment and PACS system
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floats between the ED, main campus, outpatient, and nearby clinics within walking distance of main campus
• 3x13 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• No call requirement for this position
• Must work assigned shift if it falls on a holiday
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Experience in ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings required
• Epic EMR experience required
• GE equipment experience required
• Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety practices

Additional Information

• Performs a wide range of CT procedures including abdomen and pelvis imaging, head and neck studies, spine and musculoskeletal imaging, and chest/cardiac CT
• May be assigned to an emergency response team requiring extended facility presence during declared emergency events
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former Ochsner Health employees or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travel clinician
• Orientation is held five days per week
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
