Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: MSM Duration: 9 months Shift: Overnight Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT experience License: Client License (L.R.T) Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified) Must-Have: - Quality assurance - ARRT certification - Calibration - Documentation Description: Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before patient studies. Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician's orders following prescribed protocols. Observe all documentation policies by filling in appropriate logs and manuals. Report equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receive radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verify proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verify activity level of the dose prior to administration. This position may also require x-ray work during the overnight shift. Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patients' needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
