Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: CT Imaging Duration: 9 months Shift: Overnight Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT experience License: Client License (L.R.T) Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified) Must-Have: - Client License (L.R.T) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and current CT certification) Description: Utilizes appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper function before patient studies. Injects patients with radioactive material as per physician’s orders and following prescribed protocols. Observes all department documentation policies by completing logs, manuals, and charge documents. Reports any equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follows radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principles. Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for interpretation. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receives radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy. Verifies activity levels of doses prior to administration.
