CLINICAL INTERVIEWING Shift: Sat-Mon 1800-0630--with 2 - 3 shift of call a month. About Facility: Puyallup, WA Level III Trauma Center Beds: 375 licensed beds Covid vaccine required at MHS General Information: Imaging Rooms CT: 3 CT Suites Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes, if they have experience in a large Level 3+ facility and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, as long as they have experience in a large Level 3+ facility with broad experience Patient Types: Day shift: General, diagnostic, interventional, assisting with procedures, ER, critical cases Eve/Night shift: 90% are ER and ICU patients Cardiac CT experience preferred Manager does not want someone who has just critical access experience Patients seen in a day: Over 100 patients seen in 24 hours Required Licensure and Certifications: BLS, ARRT CT R, WA state license Skills required: Experience with case types above Must have acute care experience Support on the Unit: Lead CT Tech Respiratory Therapy Hospitalist Radiologist: IR MD and PA will help with cases in CT; Radiologist there during the day, off site at night RRT: Transporter: CT transporter available except from 4am-9am Up to 5 CT tech during business hours. After 5pm, 3 CT Techs Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV pumps: Alaris (will typically not alter) Medication dispensing: Pyxis; Cardiac CTs will give nitro prior to cardiac cases Injector: MedRad PACS: Change Healthcare Equipment used? Do travelers need experience with equipment?: Siemens, Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64 (interventional CT), Definition Edge 128 in ER Do not need prior experience Floating: If yes, where? Typically will not float anywhere Orientation: NEO 1 week in department, could be more if needed Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Fixed schedule, see job postings for details. Some positions will be for every weekend On call: 1-2 call shifts per month Strictly night shift travelers will also take call as all night shifts are 12h shifts and they will have 4 days off per week Call is 7p-7a Holiday Expectations: Every other Approval of RTO: To go through manager Shift times: 8, 10, and 12h shifts.
