Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: MSH Duration: 13 Months Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 7.5 hours Experience: 2 years minimum experience with Siemens NaeTom Alpha Peak and Philips Brilliance ICT 256 equipment. License: Client License (L.R.T) Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified) Must-Have: Experience in Cardiac CT Description: Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure it is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed. Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician’s order following the prescribed protocol. Observes all department documentation policies by filling in appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents, as well as reporting equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follows radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principles. Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. Receives radiopharmaceutical on the day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the dose prior to administration. Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
