Job Title: Computed Tomography Tech Profession: Computed Tomography Tech Specialty: Computed Tomography Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Mon, Tues, Weds Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Required Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT) Must-Have: - Advanced Certification in the modality of CT (Preferred) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (if operating fluoroscopy equipment) - Venipuncture certification (Preferred) Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnosis. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients of all ages. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location. Maintains accurate records and files. Ensures compliance with patient confidentiality regulations. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment. Manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
