CT Technologist | Mount Shasta, CA | 13 Weeks Contract

  • Weekly Pay:$2900 to $3100
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining procedures, reviewing medical history, and ensuring patient comfort
  • Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety
  • Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for any adverse reactions
  • Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment while maintaining image quality standards
  • Evaluate completed scans for diagnostic quality before submitting images for radiologist interpretation
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Follow radiation safety practices, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies
  • Perform routine equipment quality control checks and report maintenance concerns as needed
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during both routine and emergency imaging procedures
Requirements
  • Active California Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
  • ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or required by facility
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Experience performing a broad range of CT procedures in an acute care setting
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, contrast administration, and radiation safety
  • Experience using PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
  • Ability to work efficiently during evening shifts in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department
