Description:
The department has 5 CT scanners/rooms.
There may be a need to float or cover other areas such as Acute Care, Urgent Care, ER, and rare outpatient.
Daily tasks include performing a full range of CT scans for infants through adults, including traumas and strokes.
The department averages 90-100 scans/studies per day for both acute and ambulatory patients.
The electronic medical record system used is Cerner, and the PACS system is Siemens/SECTRA.
Department specific equipment includes Siemens and Toshiba with over 300 slices.
Radiologists are available on-site from 8 am to 10 pm, with remote coverage from 10 pm to 8 am.
Starting IVs is required.
Shifts are organized in a set schedule that may include 12-hour, 10-hour, or other variations.
Weekend and holiday work may be required depending on the shift and rotation.
Scrubs are not provided and no specific color is assigned.
New hires will undergo department-specific orientation for up to one week, including training and computer access.
