Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT experience, ARRT (R)(CT) certification, and prior travel experience for a day shift contract in an adult acute care and outpatient setting.
Details
- Work setting includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department environments
- No floating required and no on-call obligations
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR required
- Procedures include CT of the abdomen/pelvis, head and neck (carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head), spine and musculoskeletal (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, MSK trauma), chest (with/without contrast, vascular chest including PE/CTA/aorta), and cardiac studies (calcium scoring, coronary angiography)
- Equipment includes GE scanners and PACS
- Patient ratio of 1:1
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CT
- Prior travel experience required
- ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and BLS required
- Adult acute care and adult outpatient work setting experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in image display and post-processing, region of interest (ROI) measurement, 3D rendering, and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) preferred
- Skills in preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 valid professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- PA fingerprinting required — candidates without results from within 12 months of start date must complete fingerprinting at the earliest available date, as results can take up to 2 weeks
- License required if applicable
- A pass/fail clinical exam is required for clearance; candidates have a maximum of 3 attempts to pass
Additional Information
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Hospital workflow experience preferred
- Scrub colors: navy, grey, or black
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a rate differential
- All RTO must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests after submission will not be accepted, and block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing
- Modules are completed during orientation
