The role involves working in a high-volume CT department. Two Canon CT scanners are available for use. The environment is fast-paced with an expected busy workflow. The technician will perform various CT scans, including abdomen and chest scans, with and without contrast. Required skills include catheter placement, venipuncture, and radiation safety practices. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction techniques. Support staff, including a tech assistant, will be available to aid the tech. The unit accepts first-time travelers with the necessary experience. Weekend coverage is to be expected every other weekend. Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare professionals. Candidates will float within the facility based on census needs.
