Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 Shift: Mid 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid State License required at the time of submission Certifications: ARRT CT*, ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: Must perform both CT and X-ray procedures Description: Competently performs routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures. Produces quality images for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills. Executes safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and healthcare providers. Conducts competent patient assessments and attentive monitoring. Ensures effective communication throughout the process. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures. Provides optimal patient care while ensuring privacy and safety. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and helping orient other staff. Skills required include 3D rendering, CT procedures, and preparation/administration of contrast media. Must understand radiation safety and isolation precautions. A background in work history verification covering the last 7 years is necessary. Charting experience in specific systems is preferred. Candidates should be aware of background policy requirements.
