Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

Perform routine imaging examinations in CT on both scheduled and emergency bases
Review and evaluate requisitions for CT imaging procedures, abstracting data and determining appropriateness
Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers
Provide proficient IV placement
Utilize radiology applications such as Citrix, Radnet, and others
Assist with X-ray as needed

Requirements of the CT Technologist

1 year Pediatric Experience
Rad Tech Massachusetts State License
American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) (CT) (R)
BLS certification
