Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans with and without contrast for ER and inpatient populations, averaging 16–24 scans per day
- Operate GE CT scanners (16-slice and 64-slice) within a Radiology department using Meditech EMR and Fuji PACS
- Start IVs as required for contrast administration
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 6th week with a 30-minute response time requirement
- Float between two campus locations as needed (approximately 16 minutes apart)
- May be asked to precept staff as needed by the department
Required Qualifications
- Active ARRT certification in CT
- Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in both ER and inpatient CT imaging settings
- Ability to start IVs independently
- Ability to meet a 30-minute on-call response time requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Fuji PACS systems
- Experience operating GE CT scanners, including 16-slice and 64-slice models
- Prior experience precepting or training radiology staff
