Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Four 10-hour shifts per week | 50% on-call requirement including every other weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Review patient history and physician orders to plan and execute appropriate imaging procedures in both CT and Radiology (X-ray) departments
Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered, while continually monitoring patient condition and responding to changes in status
Position patients, perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and take corrective action to resolve image quality issues including repositioning and repeating procedures as needed
Implement safety standards, perform quality control procedures on equipment, and troubleshoot or report equipment malfunctions
Enter, transmit, and report scan results; float between X-ray and CT departments as required
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
Active ARRT certification in Radiography (RD) and CT — must be provided at time of submission
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association — must be provided at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in both Radiology and CT
Ability to fulfill on-call obligations including every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
Completion of a CT technology certificate program in addition to the associate degree
Prior travel assignment experience in a hospital or acute care setting
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
