Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: Full Time Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT) Certifications: Approved CPR certification, ARRT and Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire Must-Have: - Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, cross-sectional anatomy, patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure - Excellent communication and critical thinking skills - Self-motivated Description: Under the general direction of the Manager, Radiology and the immediate supervision of the Lead Technologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. The CT Technologist can perform all general diagnostic radiographic exams and CT exams. Assumes responsibility for designated areas as assigned. The Technologist operates CT equipment, prepares and administers contrast media, performs intravenous contrast injections, and operates X-ray equipment. Prepares patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications. Responsible for quality control and enforcement of standards, ethics, policies, and procedures of the designated area. Supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of the Radiology Department. Desired qualifications include two years of experience in diagnostic x-ray and one year of experience in CT. Additionally, current Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification, current license issued by ARRT, and an advanced certification in CT are preferred.
